The Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) is a European regulation that came into force in January 2023 and will apply from January 17, 2025. It aims to strengthen the digital operational resilience of the financial sector against Information and Communication Technology (ICT) risks.
DORA applies to a wide range of financial entities (credit institutions, investment firms, insurance companies, ICT providers, etc.) and imposes strict requirements regarding ICT risk management, incident detection, resilience testing, and third-party compliance.
